Welcome to Our New Website
Welcome to Our New Website
As we enter our 9th year of service, we are deeply grateful to continue supporting individuals with terminal illness, their families, and healthcare professionals throughout Oregon. This new website was designed to be welcoming, accessible, and easy to navigate while providing trusted end-of-life information and resources.
What began as a small but dedicated group of around 40 volunteers has grown into a thriving statewide organization with more than 100 volunteers and five teams serving communities across Oregon. While EOLCOR has a small staff of five, at our core we remain a volunteer-driven organization.
Our volunteers are the heart of this work. They are the compassionate voices answering calls, meeting with individuals and loved ones, educating communities, supporting outreach efforts, and offering human connection during some of life’s most vulnerable moments. Their dedication ensures that individuals facing difficult decisions do not have to navigate them alone.
To our collaborating physician colleagues, hospices, healthcare providers, and community partners: thank you for your partnership and trust. We are especially grateful to the physicians who generously share their time, expertise, and thoughtful collaboration in support of patient choice and autonomy. Your willingness to walk alongside individuals and their loved ones during a profoundly personal and complex time reflects your compassion, professionalism, and humanity.
We also want to acknowledge our donors, whose generosity has helped EOLCOR grow and strengthen over the years. With donor support, we have expanded statewide outreach, strengthened volunteer training, and improved access to clear information and guidance for individuals navigating end-of-life options. Most importantly, our donors help us make certain that no one has to face these decisions without care, connection, and support.
End-of-life care is never the work of one organization alone. It takes a network of healthcare professionals, community partners, volunteers, and advocates working together to provide dignity, respect, and care for individuals and their loved ones throughout the end-of-life journey.
At EOLCOR, we understand that navigating Oregon’s Death with Dignity Act and other end-of-life options can feel overwhelming and confusing. Our mission is to provide clear information, compassionate support, and nonjudgmental human connection so people can make informed decisions aligned with their own values, priorities, and wishes.
This new website reflects the next chapter of that mission. We hope it serves as a trusted source of clarity, support, and connection for individuals, their loved ones, healthcare professionals, volunteers, and advocates.
